As part of our close-knit team, you will play an essential role in enhancing our marketing activities while working across various platforms to reach new customers and strengthen relationships with existing ones.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable Marketing Assistant to join our team in a newly created position. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for marketing and a desire to help shape the future of a small but rapidly growing family business. In this role, you will assist our external agency partners in the day-to-day marketing activities such as managing social media channels, improving SEO performance, handling Google Ads, assisting with website updates, and supporting product management and supplier relationships. You will also be the first point of contact for customer and supplier inquiries and will work closely with the sales and admin teams to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Marketing:
- Assist in the management and growth of Carera Windows’ social media presence (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Support agency partners in the creation and implementation of Google Ads campaigns to drive lead generation.
- Assist in content creation for blogs, social media posts, email newsletters, and other digital assets.
- Help maintain and update the company website, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product information.
- Customer and Supplier Support:
- Handle incoming customer and supplier inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing information on products, services, and delivery timelines.
- General Marketing Support:
- Assist our agency partners with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns.
- Contribute to market research and competitor analysis to stay on top of industry trends and customer needs.
- Support internal teams with promotional material requests and other marketing-related tasks.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Essential:
- Strong interest or background in marketing, digital media, or a related field.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, SEO, and Google Ads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a small but fast-paced environment.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
- Desirable:
- Experience in a marketing assistant or similar role (1+ years preferred).
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp/hubspot/salesforce).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design tools.
- Knowledge of the home improvement or construction industry is a plus.
